Shipibo-Konibo Potter, Leidy Martinez continues to work towards moving from the city of Yarinacocha back to the village of Masisea where she grew up deep in the Amazon jungle. She is now 2 months pregnant with her third child and dreams of returning to her roots so her family can live in a more harmonious environment as the pandemic continues and so that she can be closer to her mother and father.

Leidy is seeking financial support to purchase a plot of land beside her parents property for $2,000.00. Her husband will then build a Casa de Palma (palm hut) for her family as well as a pottery studio.

They are also hoping to purchase a motocar (motorcycle vehicle) for further sovereignty during the pregnancy, postpartum and to avoid public transportation to go harvest Clay and all necessary materials for her craft work.
